When our dog has cancer, we want a simple, quick, “set-it-and-forget-it” solution … but we rarely get one. There’s hope, though, if we adopt a flexible, “let’s try it” mindset that assumes everything will change again and again.
If you don’t want to treat dog cancer, for whatever reason, don’t do it. Cancer is a mighty foe, and not everyone has the means, the time, the support, or the resources to take it on. If it were easy, you’d do it, right? But it’s not. Dr. Dressler has hard-won advice for those of us who feel guilty about not being able to treat our dog’s cancer.
