Micrometastasis

Micrometastasis is a cancer spread (metastasis) we cannot see with our diagnostic tools. Perhaps the cells are too small (micro), or there are too few of them to pick up. Micrometastasis is always a possibility, which is why veterinarians often don’t want to declare a cancer “cured.”
