Inpatient Treatment

Inpatient Treatment: This is when your dog stays at the veterinary hospital to receive treatment (including spending the night). Dogs usually receive inpatient treatment if they are very ill and require constant monitoring so that the veterinary team can adjust or add medications quickly if needed. For dogs with cancer, this usually happens after major surgeries or early in chemotherapy treatment if the doctor is concerned about complications.
