Every Day Holiday Dangers for Dogs

Posted by DogCancer.com Editors on December 12, 2023

According to the Pet Poison Helpline, there are multiple common threats to pets during the holiday season. You can find their full list here. They explain why items like ornaments, tinsel, alcohol, wrapped gifts, mistletoe, and even hand warmers can pose a danger. The item that most caught our attention, however, was snow globes. Some snow globes contain a small amount of antifreeze, which is incredibly toxic for dogs and other animals. A broken snow globe makes a mess, but if it has that sweet-smelling toxin in the liquid, it can also kill any animal that tries to slurp it up, as happened to these two poor dogs. So keep your snow globes intact for a happy and SAFE holiday season!
