Echocardiogram

Echocardiogram is an imaging test that looks at the heart using ultrasound. The sound waves help your veterinarian visualize both the inside and outside of the heart as it beats. Usually does not require sedation, and is non-invasive. Your veterinarian might call it an “echo.” Echocardiograms are used to find tumors and other heart abnormalities. They can also see if the heart is pumping properly.
