Curative

Curative treatments are given to attempt a cure and make the disease go away. Depending upon the severity of your dog’s case, you may or may not hear your veterinarian promising a treatment will be “curative.” More likely, you will hear the word “palliative,” which means “will help but not necessarily cure.”
