Apoptogen

Apoptogens: Agents that induce or encourage cell apoptosis genes to turn on, or express themselves. Apoptosis genes turn on in normal healthy cells when they are at the end of their natural lifespan, are damaged, or have been deranged and cannot repair themselves. These genes start a cascade of actions that lead the cell to dismantle itself and die, to make room for new, healthy cells.
